Teatro Vista is a non-profit theatre and production company dedicated to multidisciplinary artists of color whose artistic expression on stage and beyond is rooted in the transformative power of owning and telling our own stories.

Since 1991, our intention has been to cultivate Latino/a/e artists and their works into mainstream theater by nurturing voices that explore the variety of the human experience from a Latino/a/e perspective. We have expanded that focus to cultivating our Artistic Collective’s creativity with innovative storytelling to create live stage performances and media arts. We empower our artists to grow their resumes into executive leadership positions in the entertainment industry to be the representation we seek. Our commitment to storytelling and professional development opens up access to equity both within the company and in our community at large.

ARTISTIC

  • Support production staff with Teatro Vista’s digital creations and in-person production.

  • Weekly one-on-one mentorship conversations with various members of the Teatro Vista staff and artistic collective.

  • Learn about and support in audience engagement.

ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Learn Quickbooks software basics.

  • Learn about how to build a theatre season by helping Teatro Vista staff with research to support preparations for the 2025-2026 season.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Applicants must be between the ages of 14-22 years old

  • Have a passion towards learning about theater, digital arts, and non-profit arts organization

Teatro Vista’s Summer Internship Program will provide students ages 14-22 with opportunities for professional and creative development as they explore careers in Theater and Non-profit business. The internship will provide both artistic and administrative experience with guidance from current Teatro Vista staff and Artistic Collective members.
