Brian King

SAM | Brian King

Brian King’s (Sam) Chicago stage credits include TimeLine Theatre's Hundreds and Hundreds Of Stars, Steppenwolf Theatre’s Fair Use, The North Plan, and The Drunken City. He was recently seen on-screen in HBO’s Somebody Somewhere, NBC’s The Irrational, and Showtime’s The Chi. Other TV credits include Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, Boss, Leverage, Empire, Detroit 1-8-7, Crisis, Mob Doctor, and Prison Break. His most recent film credits include Candyman, Widows, Man of Steel, Seneca, and A Light Beneath Their Feet.

Eddie Martinez

JUAN | Eddie Martinez

Eddie Martinez (Juan) was previously seen in Parachute Men, Fade, and Hope at Teatro Vista. Other Chicago credits include I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter and Our Lady of 121st Street at Steppenwolf; Big Lake Big City, Cascabel, Circus Quixote at Lookingglass; Rightlynd at Victory Gardens; Bull at Paramount; and Ugly Lies The Bone at Shattered Globe. Regional credits include Native Gardens at the Old Globe; Fade at Denver Center, Cherry Lane, and Theater Works Hartford; and As You Like It at Denver Center. His on-screen credits include Sense8 (Netflix), Sirens (USA), Chicago Fire (NBC), Shameless (Showtime), Justified: Primeval (FX), and The Dilemma (Universal). He is a member of Teatro Vista’s Artistic Collective and Actors’ Equity Association.

Ayssette Muñoz

CYNTHIA | Ayssette Muñoz

Ayssette Muñoz is a Mexican-American actor/director from the Rio Grande Valley.  Favorite acting credits have included Teatro Vista, Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre, Lookingglass, Rivendell Theatre, A Red Orchid Theatre, and Definition Theatre. On-camera credits include The Bear, Chicago Med, and Chicago P.D. Associate directing credits include Arthur & Friends Make a Musical at Marriott Theatre, An Educated Guess at Definition Theatre (Jeff Recommended), Somewhere Over the Border at Teatro Vista (Jeff Recommended - Winner of Best Director, Best Ensemble, and Best Production of a Musical.) In 2015, the Chicago Tribune featured her as one of the “Top 10 Hot New Faces of Chicago Theatre'' and in 2019, she was nominated for "Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play" from the Alliance of Latinx Theatre Artists of Chicago. Paloma Nozicka

XOCHI | Paloma Nozicka

Paloma Nozicka (Xochi) is thrilled to make her Teatro Vista debut. Chicago theatre credits include The Thanksgiving Play at Steppenwolf Theatre Company; Teddy Ferrara at Goodman Theatre; Native Gardens at Victory Gardens Theatre; Bobby Clearly at Steep Theatre; The Harvest at Griffin Theatre;  In the Canyon, The Light Fantastic, Exit Strategy, and Long Way Go Down at Jackalope Theatre Company. Regional credits include Citizen Detective at Geffen Playhouse and Boeing Boeing at TheatreSquared. 

Television credits include The Irrational, Chicago Med, Proven Innocent, Chicago PD, The Red Line, and Empire. Nozicka was a 2023 Jeff Awards nominee for "Best New Work" for her play, Enough to Let the Light In. She is a member of Teatro Vista’s Artist Collective,, a Jackalope Theatre Company member, and a proud member of SAG-AFTRA.

Yona Moises Olivares

Yona Moises Olivares’s (Sebastian) credits include Mucho Ado About Nothing at Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Sanctuary City at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Gender Play, Or What You Will at About Face Theatre, Anna in the Tropics at Remy Bumppo, Same Sects at Haven Chicago, and When Harry Met Rehab at Greenhouse Theater. Regional credits include Anna in the Tropics and The Winter’s Tale at American Player’s Theatre, How To Defend Yourself, We’ve Come To Believe, A Christmas Carol, and Dracula at Actors Theatre of Louisville. They received their degree from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Aaron Barker

SAM | Aaron Barker

Aaron Barker (Sam Cover) is very excited to make his Teatro Vista debut. Past credits include  All Shook Up at Idaho Rep, If I Had (World Premiere) at Montana Rep, and Blue Man Group at Astor Place Theatre. Film/TV includes Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, HOA, and Divergent. After receiving his BFA degree from the University of Montana, he explored the country picking up theatre and night shows before finding his home in Chicago. 

Tatiana Bustamante

Tatiana Bustamante (Cynthia Cover) is hyped to make her TVP debut! Chicago credits include A Christmas Carol at Goodman Theatre; A Streetcar Named Desire at Paramount Theatre; Fen at Court Theatre; A Christmas Carol at Drury Lane; Gypsy at Porchlight Music Theatre; Refuge at Theo Ubique; Fefu and Her Friends at Snails on a Bike; and National Merit at BoHo Theatre; Lizzie at Firebrand Theatre. They hold a B.F.A. from the Chicago College of Performing Arts and an M.A. from the University of Miami. Tatiana also works as a freelance Intimacy Director in the Chicagoland area, and she is currently the Executive Assistant at Teatro Vista Productions. Lorená Diaz

ANGELA | Lorená Diaz

Lorená Diaz (Angela Cover) is a Chicago- based artist. Lorena is the Executive Director of Teatro Vista and is grateful to be understudying the captivating Charin Alvarez in Both. If she feels familiar to you, it might be because you've seen her alter ego on NBC's Chicago Med where she has "Big Doris Energy" as Charge Nurse Doris Perez. Nurse Doris has been with the Dick Wolf Franchise for more than a decade. "I feel my most complete when watching artists at work. To observe is to learn, to replicate is to hone. I am in incredible company."

Leonel Garza

JAUN | Leonel Garza

Leonel Garza (Juan Cover) is a Chicagoland native with deep roots in the Southwest and northern Mexico. He is known for his dynamic presence in Latine and racially ambiguous roles, portraying everything from the humble working man to edgy, offbeat authority figures. Recent screen credits include Chicago P.D. as Ivan Alvarez, Mexican Delight as Rodrigo, and appearances in This Fool, Primo, and The Absence of Eden. A fluent Spanish speaker and fully bilingual, Garza brings authenticity, nuance, and depth to every role, drawing from his bi-cultural background and years of experience in theatre, voice-over, and education.

El Río

SEBASTIAN | El Río

El Río (Sebastian Cover) is an actor, comedian, and photographer from Chicago, IL. He’s been performing for ten years, annoying his mama for well over 30 years, and spends most of his days moonlighting as a server.  He loves to wear fake glasses, crazy patterns, and recently got rid of his mullet. Amelia Roque

XOCHI | Amelia Roque

Amelia Roque (Xochi Cover) is a second generation Mexican-American theatre maker, dancer and writer. She is thrilled to not only be a part of the team but the creative scene at large here in Chicago. Some of her acting credits include Clusterf*ck (Eclectic Theatre Company); Sunflower (Theatre Contronym); and ARCANA: The Fools Errand (Front Porch Oracles). She moved to Chicago in 2020 shortly after receiving her BFA. Amelia believes in cultivating a human-first and trauma-informed approach to all facets of her artistry. Her hope is to share stories and experiences centered in joy and lead to liberation for us all. On social media at IG: @_ameliaroque_.
