Wounded while crossing the border illegally, Amparo drags herself into Jesse’s trailer. Jesse, a tough and independent woman living in South Texas, surprises even herself by hiding Amparo in her closet while she recovers from her dangerous crossing. As Amparo recuperates, Jesse has to go to increasingly complicated lengths to hide her secret from her web-addicted teenage son and a border protection agent with a crush. Hilarious and searing, Lampshade examines the consequences of secrets.
